Dance Inversion International Contemporary Dance Festival starts from 10 September to 3 November in Moscow.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

For two decades, the festival presents the contemporary works of famous Western choreographers and the ambitious achievements of young but rapidly gaining popularity companies from Asia, Africa, and Latin America. Over the years, 5 continents, 30 countries, 78 companies, and almost 90 choreographers were represented in Moscow.

The festival opened the names of many choreographers known to the whole world to the Russian public, such as Josef Nadj, Itzik Galili, Edouard Lock. Thanks to DanceInversion the prominent French choreographer Angelin Preljocaj became famous in Moscow. The festival engaged with Russian headliners Yevgeni Panfilov from Perm and Tatyana Baganova from Yekaterinburg. Remarkable events became the performances of the Netherlands Dance Theater, the companies of Trisha Brown, Mauro Bigonzetti, Karine Saporta, and the best black dance company in the world - the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater.
